Reach out to incoming students who have expressed an interest being a CS major in order to begin building relationships with and advising these students to help them become a part of the CS community.

  • Reach out to these students via email to start a conversation.
    • Obtain access to admission materials where students indicate their interest in the computer science major.
  • It can be really valuable to help students choose courses for their first semester at college.
    • Pre-CS students will be happy to have someone helping them who is already in their field of interest and grateful to know that the selected courses will be useful in working towards their degree.
