Allocate computer time evenly among students, especially in elementary school, so all students get a chance to play.

  • Kingston, Ontario teacher Corina Koch found that when she let elementary-school students use the computers on a first-come, first-serve basis, boys "dominated" the computers and girls were pressured away from them. She combated this by assigning computer time and distributing it evenly, which gave all of her students a chance to use the computers. (Margolis 34)
