  • Activity:
    • After introducing students to binary, explain that computers use 0s and 1s to store many different types of information (e.g. images, letters, movies, application).
    • Write a long set of 1s and 0s on the board.
    • Ask students what these 1s and 0s mean.
      • See how many different possibilities they can come up with!
    • Explain that the meaning of the 1s and 0s is based upon our interpretation of these.
